My first Outdoor Retailer Summer Market was cray cray. 24 scheduled meetings packed into two and a half days. By the time Saturday rolled around, things were so quiet I didn’t quite know what to do with myself. I was so thankful that my friends over at Teton Sports always throw a sweet #hikerchat hike post-show.
The ever-so-famous Shawn picked up Jess, Tanya and me bright and early in the morning. We headed off to the Little Cottonwood Canyon Park and Ride to meet up with the rest of our crew. Things didn’t go as planned and we were forced to relocate down to the Big Cottonwood Canyon Park and Ride. Landon handed out t-shirts and backpackers to all hikers and then we caravanned up to the Mill D North trailhead.
We hiked out to a super secret special spot with a little bit of elevation gain, but not too much. I was a little disappointed and also pretty relieved. My feet and legs were pooped from all the running around at Salt Palace. We spent some time lounging at the super secret special spot. Shawn broke out the drone and Periscope. Landon snapped a few photos. I took a nap. It was great. We then headed back down and said hello to Hidden Falls before returning to our cars for a pizza party at Teton HQ.
It was so great being able to put Twitter handles to faces and to see old and new friends. Thanks so much to Teton Sports for setting up the hike and for my new swag!
