Fall’s here. It’s time to put those flip flops away and throw on some booties to frolick in piles of leaves. At least that’s what I imagine fall to be like in places where the trees aren’t always green and the temperature isn’t always 70 degrees. I’ve gotten rid of most of my cute shoes these days due to disuse, but Ahnu Footwear saves the day with casual, yet technical options. The Harper is my new favorite piece of footwear for fall.
The waterproof leather and suede construction means you’re not wearing fugly rain boots in inclement weather. The elastic lace up system makes wearing and removing such a breeze. The neoprene flex collar keeps your ankles in place but still comfortable. A memory foam footbed keeps your feet extremely cushy, while an EVA midsole offers lightweight cushioning and shock absorption.
Date night or cross-country flight, these boots are cute and they pack a mean punch. I love them so. Traveling via airplane? These are so easy to slip on and off. Late for your flight? You can run to your gate in these, no problem. Or in my case, lose your ID, run off the plane, run to security checkpoint and back to your plane to make it to your destination. Gone are the days where footwear looks good but feels terrible. These look good and feel good. I’ve gotten tons of compliments on how awesome these look. Nobody believes that they’re actually kind of technical. My only gripe with the shoe is I wish they had stickier soles! Guess that’s a problem you only really encounter when you wear hiking boots and approach shoes all the time, right?
