Yosemite National Park is best known for its glacier-scoured walls and high alpine peaks. One of my favorite parts about this famous California park are the sequoias. Hike to Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias off Highway 120 for a glimpse of these majestic, 3000 year old trees.

Athleta is a brand I’ve always admired. They reached out to me to play with their new sustainable line. I was only happy to oblige.
This year, Athleta received its B Corporation Certification, creating a legal commitment to people and the planet. By 2020, 80% of Athleta’s materials will be made with sustainable fibers.
With outerwear, Athleta is keeping 460,000 bottles out of landfills this year alone. Sustainably managed forests provide the fabric for ever so soft tops. Bottoms are created from recycled materials.
When I think of redwood hikes, I think of Muir Woods and the whole Bay Area peninsula. The East Bay, however, can hold its own when it comes to these tall wonders. I don’t make it out to the East Bay often, but the Sequoia Bayview trail in Joaquin Miller Park does not disappoint.
