This past weekend I was in Salt Lake City for a hot second on a little reunion trip with my best friend from college. When in Utah, I always hit up the guys from Teton Sports because they know the coolest spots. We couldn’t get an extra long hike in but when the mountains are so close, it’s easy to get outside. Shawn took us up to Silver Lake (8,740’) in Big Cottonwood Canyon.
Guys, I think I’ve transcended to another level: the level where I wear lifestyle offerings from my favorite outdoor brands. I never thought I’d get here. But wait! Move over, Sun Bum. I have a new favorite in the house. COOLA isn’t your typical skincare brand geared towards outdoorsy folks. In fact, their offerings lean more towards the non-dirtbag types. But their sport line? That’s something that does good and works. The COOLA Suncare Sport SPF 50 Unscented Moisturizer blows everything else out of the water.
Truth be told, I’d never heard of Oboz Footwear until Outdoor Retailer. When I find brands that I like, especially in footwear, I tend to stick to what I know works. Oboz sent over the Emerald Peak hiking shoe to help me round out my collection of boots.
Ahnu Footwear is one of those shoe companies I will support forever and ever. I mean, you never forget your first hiking boot, right? When they announced their new YogaSport line, I was super excited to get my hands on the Yoga Flex. I love when brands branch out from their usual suspects and try something new.
