Mountain Hardwear Scrambler 30 Review

Mountain Hardwear Scrambler 30 Backpack Giveaway Review

The Mountain Hardwear Scrambler 30 isn’t anything new for 2016, but this trusty backpack has survived 2015 and 2016 without any real issues. It’s the bag that I reach for over and over again for hiking, climbing and commuting. It’s burly enough to withstand inclement weather and holds a ton of gear and snacks for a day at the crag. You can even strap a rope on top for the approach, or for biking to the gym for a post-work climbing sesh. After two years of abuse, it’s a little worn in some spots, but it’s nothing a little duct tape can’t fix. Now this workhorse of a bag can be yours.

From December 1 to December 8, you can enter to win the Mountain Hardwear Scrambler 30. Just follow the instructions below. If you’re too impatient and you want one now, buy through Mountain Hardwear, REI, Backcountry or Amazon for $130.

Although there’s something magical to slipping my backpack into a trash bag and wearing it, I do think using a water proof pack during my trip next summer might be a better choice for me and my camera gear. South Toe River NC here I come.

I have been wanting to do a multi-day kayaking trip and a waterproof backpack would be perfect for that. And as a bonus, I volunteer in Search and Rescue and haven’t figured out a pack that really fits the bill for wet weather conditions and this would probably pull double duty with that.
